1. About these terms

This website is operated by Local Technology Partners Pty Ltd ABN 66 684 267 909, trading as Local Tech Partners. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

These terms govern the website only. If your council has entered into a separate licence, services or subscription agreement with us for Localtech Core, that agreement governs the software, and it prevails over these terms to the extent of any inconsistency.

2. Information about a product still being built

Localtech Core is pre-release. This website describes a platform that is in council testing, with release planned for early 2027, and it describes a roadmap of work we intend to carry out.

Statements on this website about future capability, delivery sequence or release timing are statements of current intention. They are not commitments, they are not warranties, and they may change as testing tells us what councils need first. Do not rely on them as the basis for a procurement decision.

If you need a binding statement about whether a specific capability will exist by a specific date, ask us and we will put it in writing in a contract. We would rather have that conversation than have a council discover a gap at implementation.

3. Acceptable use

You may read this site, and share and print its pages for your own or your council's internal purposes. You must not:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any applicable law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its server, or any connected system.
• Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the site except as permitted under our vulnerability disclosure position in the Privacy Policy.
• Introduce malicious code, or interfere with the availability of the site for others.
• Scrape, harvest or systematically extract content, or use automated means to collect personal information from the site.
• Misrepresent your identity or your affiliation with any council or organisation.

4. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, layout, graphics, the Local Tech Partners and Localtech Core names and logos, and the software behind the site, is owned by Local Technology Partners Pty Ltd or used under licence.

You may reproduce extracts for internal council use, including in a briefing paper or a procurement evaluation, provided you do not alter them and you attribute the source. Any other reproduction, publication or commercial use needs our written permission.

5. Accuracy of information

We take care to keep this site accurate and current, and we hold ourselves to the standard that a capability claim must be true of the software as it exists, or be plainly labelled as not yet shipped.

Even so, content is provided for general information. It is not financial, legal, accounting or professional advice, and it does not take account of your council's circumstances. References to legislation, including the Local Government Act 2009 (Qld) and the Local Government Regulation 2012, are provided as general context and are not a substitute for your own advice.

6. Links to other sites

This site may link to sites we do not control, including our demonstration environment's supporting services. We provide those links for convenience. We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of a site we do not operate, and a link is not an endorsement.

7. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), or under any other law, where doing so would be void or unlawful.

Where our liability under a non-excludable guarantee can lawfully be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the relevant services or paying the cost of having them resupplied.

8. Liability

Subject to section 7, this website is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful components.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, or loss of or corruption of data arising from your use of this website. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Liability for Localtech Core itself is dealt with in the agreement under which it is supplied, not here.

9. Availability and changes to the site

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of this website at any time without notice. Service levels for Localtech Core, where they apply, are set out in the council's agreement and are not affected by this section.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, including the framework we work within as a contracted service provider to Queensland councils. It forms part of these terms.

11. Accessibility

We build this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA, because accessibility is a procurement requirement for government suppliers and not a finishing touch.

If you encounter a barrier on this site, tell us at admin@localtechpartners.com.au and we will fix it and confirm when we have.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State and the courts competent to hear appeals from them.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time you use the site is the version that applies, and the date it was last updated is shown at the top of this page.
